Basically, Typhoid fever is severe a bacterial infection that occurs in an insanitary environment as a result of contamination of water or food with infected feaces/urine. The organism that causes this disease is called salmonella typhi, and their host could be a sick person, healthy people with the disease and someone recovering from the disease but still passing out an infected feaces/urine. The disease can also be found across the globe, in that case, anyone can get this disease if he/she doesn’t follow the preventive measures . How is this disease transmitted from one person to another?
• You can get it indirectly from contaminated vegetables, fruits, rodents, food and water.
• People who have this disease can easily pass it to others indirectly.
• Eating/drinking of contaminated shellfish/milk products.
