How Female Genital Mutilation Affects Some Communities.

Female circumcision is deriving most of the Ghanaian communities back into barbaric life. Many elders think is a measure in curbing early pregnancy or teenage pregnancy but it rather cause more harm than good to the lady.

Basically, it's high time we put and end to it, because it exposes most ladies to diseases(such as tetanus, Hiv-aids and other blood related diseases) and difficulties in delivering. When baby is delivered specifically a girl, the elders will cut-of the clitoris which is the main sensitive organ in the girl which will make the her to have low sexual derive when she is mature. Sometimes cutting it off, usually make the baby to over bleed which can end her like if care is not taking. In the olding days many communities were using it without knowing the bad effects of it, and this our generation we have different types of method of controlling early pregnancy and not necessarily using this arcade method.

In addition, ladies who has experience this are highly suffering and this need to come to an end. Measures that we can take to control it includes; Educating our elders and communities the negative effects of it, Government implementing laws agains it, Making hospital as our first contact when we have issues related reproductive health and Sending our children to school.

In conclusion, ghanaian's need to rise and fight against FGM (female genital mutilation) to protect our future kids from experience this.💪💪💪.
