The Diarygame/ 20-10-2021/ The Girl Child matters - Portrait
Hi everyone, I hope we are all doing great?
Today despite my busy schedule, I decided to do a little drawing to release tension. I have been very occupied with planning the clinical placement list and letters for both level 200 and level 300 Physiotherapy students.
Around 2:30 pm, I started the drawing. I had the inspiration to draw this particular portrait from an article I read about girl child abuse. Many female children below the age of 15 years are seriously being abused in the northern sector of the country. The rate of rape and teenage pregnancy is rapidly increasing. It's rather unfortunate that issues like these are being overlooked these days in the country. If care is not taken, this national canker will go a long way to do more damage than it already has.
So you can say that this drawing is some sort of a reminder so to speak that the girl child's life matters a lot.

- I Started by drawing lighter outlines of the image as I do with all my drawings
- I deepen the lines to have a clearer image
- I went ahead to shade her sad eyes and fingernails
- I continued with shading other parts like her hair and her neck
