Contest || The Steemian Who Impacted My Steem Life The Most || Entry by @bsaad

A contest of this nature affords me the opportunity to express my profound gratitude to people who have helped me one way or the other in navigating the turbulent waters of life. Every individual struggles at some point in life and no one is immune to it. I am no exception to this struggle. In fact, I have struggled at almost every point in my life. I am here because I received support from family and friends par family. Just the other day, I thought of making an appreciation post to express my gratitude to this person and to encourage him to keep up the good works. Thanks to @awuahbenjamin and @nattybongo, I can achieve the effect of appreciation and still stand a chance of winning a reward.

Well, this person is the brother I got to choose. Though we don't always seem to agree on a variety of stuff, I could always count on him to have my back when life throws a heavy punch to my face. Frankly, I can't remember a time he wasn't in my life. They say two things define a person, his patience when he has nothing and his attitude when he has everything. This guy happens to be the same person no matter the circumstance or the age he finds himself. I say this so confidently because I was privileged to Know him in worst times and in better times. For most on steemit, he is The Love Doctor but I prefer to call him The Man Himself. This person I talk so fondly about, @pandev has helped me more times than I can count and he is the sole reason I write today and the whole steemit ecosystem can read and benefit from what I write.

@pandev has help me a lot both physically and on steemit. I would type for thousands of pages unending if I attempted to elaborate all the support he has given me in the close-to-a-decade period I have known him. However, I would spare you several light years of reading by elaborating a few prominent ones worth mentioning.

It was that time of the year when most universities were reopening. Almost every student had picked a day to resume school, and there I was, clueless as to when I would go back to school. I could bear going to school without food because I could study and write exam on an empty stomach but, what I couldn't bear was to step foot in school without a cell phone. We are in the era of technological advancement and almost every institution and venture now employ digital communication for their day to day operation, the universities are no exception. Study materials, class schedules, assignment and project schedules, and many other academic activities are now digitized and platforms such as whatsapp and telegram are used as means to disseminate important information to students. Going to school without a cell phone would have spelt doom for me. For all I know I could have been in my room while my classmates were writing an exam. I tried every option available but it all amounted to nothing. It came down to that one option I had left, and that was to sell the smock I had just made for myself to obtain the cell phone I needed for school. Before I could proceed with this decision, I received a call from @pandev. He had just called to ask me when I will be going back to school. I told him I wasn't sure because I couldn't possibly go to school without a phone. I told him however that, I would pick a date after I sold my smoke to generate money for the cell phone. He then told me to hold off on selling the smoke and that he would see what he could do. Before the day ended, he sent me more than half the amount I needed to acquire a cell phone. I was moved to tears that instant for this may have been the best gesture of goodness a friend has ever shown me. @mustaphaissah has already his account of how supportive @pandev is and I am sure the story wouldn't be any different with @sixthson.

For quite a while all my writing were kept locked away in a small notebook of mine. It wasn't long until @pandev discovered this notebook and has been hell-bent on showing it to the world. This guy literally dragged me into steemit. I am very meticulous when choosing avenues to invest my time in because I have had the experience of wasting precious time on ventures which never improved my life in any way. I was reluctant to join at first, but then I couldn't stand the constant nagging from @pandev. He listed all the benefits I could get by joining steemit and the he added that I could earn while sharing my work with the world. I was like, 'why go through all this stress while you could have started with the part that says "earn"?' I joined about five months ago and @pandev has been nothing but supportive to me, guiding me through almost everything I need to know on this blockchain. @pandev thank you for answering all my stupid questions and never once getting angry at me. I still remember when I wrote my introductory post and then @steemcurator3 made a comment like "Your post has been supported by @anroja from the Steem Greeter Team". I thought I had gotten some kind of special attention and then I quickly called you to ask you what it meant. I still remember the reply you gave to me "it means what it says. @anroja has supported your post". It didn't make sense to me at that time but looking back, you couldn't have given a better reply.

This picture may as well be the only picture I have with you but my gratitude to you knows no bounds.

May We Be Great Together!!!
