Good morning steemians

Today, my friend came to my house in the morning at 8:25am. He asked me to accompanied him to a certain house to have a look at some electrical work he has been called to do by some land lady. My friend uses motorcycle so we didn't waste time , he quickly drove cautiously to the land lady's house. We assessed the room and we realise that , the sockets system are damaged and they are need to be replaced.

They were about 3 of them and also she needed different lamp holders. Basically we estimated the amount that we would be used to buy the socket outlet, lamp holders and lamps. We presented it to her and I told her that, she can go to electrical shop to buy the items or she can give us the money to by it for her. Sometimes , it is very important to give these two options.

People have in mind that , the electrical technician can add extra money to the prices of the items so it is safer to give her the options in order not to have any sort of issues with her. She agreed that we should by it for her because she doesn't have much knowledge about the items so there is no need for her to buy it by herself.

We quickly went to one of the nearby shops and bought the items .

We first fixed the socket outlet. There was not much work to do with the wiring system. Everything was intact just that , the socket was damaged. We carefully fixed it with good termination in order to prevent short circuit.

After fixing the socket outlet, lamp holders were also replaced. We then replaced the lamp and tested all to see if they are functioning properly. We used barely an hour to complete the task.

I didn't go home afterwards but rather proceeded to a site where building construction work was ongoing. My task at the site was to supervise the workers as they manufacture blocks. When I got to the site , there was an issue with the water system. A double axle vehicle which was carrying a sand inadvertently moved over a connected pipe which supplies water to the whole area.

This lead to shortage of water so I had to give money to some lady who stays around the site to fetch water in a container. She charges 20 cedis per barrel.

In order to avoid paying extra money to people to fetch water in daily basis , I looked for the person who was responsible for the damage and I told him to come to our aid and fix the pipe for us. He agreed to contact the community water board so that they can get it fixed for us.

In fact I recommend the guys for the good work done. The blocks were well manufactured and packaged as compared to what others have done at the same site.

I left the construction site at 5:00pm, got home at 5:45pm. This brings to the end of my activities. I hope you enjoyed reading it.
