THE DIARYGAME: MY FRIDAY ACTIVITIES-17/09/21

Today happens to be Friday. It has been almost two weeks since we arrived at the community to write proposals. I woke up healthy and strong. We had scheduled a meeting with the community elders to identify their problems in order to update the previous report written in 2019. It has been a very stressful week.
The elders of the community whom we were to meet also had a PTA meeting in the school. So, we had to meet them first. After about an hour of meeting them, we had the needed information. It was very sad to hear how the members of the community are being treated. They complained bitterly about problems such as water, school, road and selling of the land in the community to outsiders.

Language barrier affected me a lot. Not only me but most of the members of the group. We had difficulties but at least we coped with that since we had a few who understood twi. It was a successful meeting with them. We also went around to prepare our pair wise ranking but unfortunately, we couldn’t meet more people. I prayed for the usual Friday congregational prayer only to be denied by the rain.

That was how I spent the day.
