School of life or how we learn
Hello my dear Steemians,
Do you remember the time when you finished your school? How many years ago it was and what was your feeling that time?
For me the end of the school time meant weeks of sitting at home and learning from morning till evening. We, siblings were not allowed to go for play with friends but just prepare ourselves for the exams. There were few exams I can't remember the number of them but I remember that it was very tiring and exhausting.
Often I had a feeling that if I do learn instead of playing outside with friends then at least I will have a good luck too like a reward for learning hard.
After each exam I had at least 24 hours free time and was allowed not to do anything, that was great break but of course, short.
I think slowly I got used to spend daily time with learning and after I finished all exams and it was really school over and I was allowed home, it was very weird feeling of emptiness.
On one hand I had a feeling that there are still a lot that I do not know but on other hand I did not need to learn anymore and just wait for the results of tests.
I remember it was end of May and beginning of June, nice hot summer and wonderful day. What kind of feeling I had?

These all feeling raised in my soul because now one stage of our life 10 years of school was completed and another one was not started yet. I can imagine that some of school children in the same situation will develop depression and only now I can understand that but also I realise how much the people around such young people can do to comfort them.
Luckily for me, shortly after I needed to prepare myself for the entry exams in Med. University there were three exams and it was another little goal for me to prepare for them. I am glad that I had my siblings and they were my company who I can talk to and we could have fun without going anywhere.

I graduated from school in 1986.
What were my feelings after the last exam? Freedom! When I received my graduation certificate, I went to Leningrad the next day.
It was a very active summer. I entered the institute and we were immediately sent to harvest potatoes at a sponsored state farm.
I can imagine the young people after graduation a great relief, especially after all exams the graduation party till sun raise, the last night together with the school mates :)
And then meet in 5, 10, 15, 20 years. And at each meeting, there are fewer and fewer classmates.
This is already a sad story. Or a meeting of classmates at the cemetery. We had such a meeting a month ago.
