The positive emotions that plants bring to people cannot be disputed. Dealing with them is known to have a therapeutic effect. I absolutely agree on this. I have grown spiritually since the time I took care of them. As they developed, so did I.

Growing a plant from start to finish creates very different emotions in people. Every time I grow a new plant, I feel more useful and successful. A sense of accomplishment is important to all of us. This may sound ridiculous to some of you, but we all need it spiritually. There is no big or small success. Success is always success.

Today I want to show you how to germinate avocado seeds. I actually grew one last year, but when my neighbor liked it, I gave it to him as a gift. So I had to make myself another one. I started germinating avocado seeds last December.

How did I do it?

  • Avocado Seed

  • Toothpick

  • Glass

  • Water

  • I washed the avocado seed and peeled off the dark brown skin on the outside. Some don't do this, but I wasn't successful when I didn't rob. Every avocado I tried peeling gave roots.

  • The avocado shouldn't be completely submerged, so I used 4 toothpicks to keep it on the surface. I inserted circular toothpicks around the core.

  • I filled the narrow glass with water (I used a tea glass) and left the avocado in a semi-shaded area to root.

It takes a bit of patience to root. It starts rooting in 4-8 weeks. The avocado cracks first, and then the sprouts begin to descend from that crack.

Always check the water in the glass. Since the glass is small, the water evaporates and is reduced by half. Don't let the root parts get dehydrated. In the past one of them rotted because of it.

The avocado that I made on December 20 was rooted as you can see in the image.

It's too early to plant it in pots yet. As you can see on the inside, the green leaf will start to sprout upwards. I'm thinking of planting it in a pot when the leaves come out.

As you wait for the leaves to emerge, the roots will also be stronger. As you can see it is not difficult at all. The only things you should pay attention to are;

  • It should be positioned in bright and semi-shade.

  • The water in the glass should be renewed regularly.

It will be a much more beautiful plant when its leaves grow. Those who want different green plants at home can develop the avocado seeds they eat by not throwing them away.

When a little more development is achieved, I will share it with you when planting it in a pot. Have any of you tried germinating avocados? I want to try different things, but I won't tell you about it now. If I get results, I will share it.

Take care of yourself until we meet again.

It works, but you have to wait patiently. This time it took root a little late but it was worth the wait. I hope it starts to give its green leaves soon 🥰

Buena manera de germinar está técnica no la conocía ,en Venezuela la planta de aguacate es grande mucha altura, debemos tener paciencia se tarda algo para dar el fruto💚 pero vale la pena, disfrute leer.gracias por compartir .

Thank you. Mine doesn't bear fruit because it has to be grafted to bear fruit. I wanted to grow it as a decor in my home, I hope it will develop much more soon. Thank you🥰
