Heeeey, happy tuesday everyone!
My posts about light and color studies are already quite common, but today in particular I wanted to look for something different and more complicated to paint, I must say that although it looks very simple this armor almost ended my life and my paintings hahahhaha.
I am trying not to use water in my new exercises and only use the paints, spots by spots to be able to create the volume, it is a bit difficult at first because it can be chaotic and the shape cannot be understood, but little by little it is something that I am learning.
As you can see in the process, it was black, or a very opaque gray, then a light gray, and white and it was confusing, my gouaches are a bit old and it was complicated, gradually removing the tones.
I wanted it to have volume and shine enough as in the reference photograph that is this .
It's quite satisfying to know how complicated it can be and then see the whole process and result, honestly I didn't think I could give it a decent finish.
