Good afternoon! My best wishes to all present.

It's been a long time since I wrote here, I don't know if my return from this post will be right. But the digital photo I saw created by @xpilar reminded me of my great-grandfather and that's why I decided to do it right now.

I knew him very little, he passed away at a respectable age when I was just a child. I know him more from Dad's stories.

Great-grandfather was a very kind, wise and very sentimental person. He often waited for crane wedges in spring and autumn, and after waiting, followed them with a long look. And quietly, with tears in his eyes, he sang the song "Cranes" by Jan Frenkel.

He was a participant in the Great Patriotic War, our great-grandfather loved frontline songs, he did not sing badly himself. His favorite song was the song performed by Mark Bernes "Cranes"

Digital photography reminded me of this song, birds flying in the sky and my great-grandfather.
And in our family, everyone remembers his stories about the war, how terrible and destructive it is. Great-grandfather was sure that our peoples would never know this again. But something went wrong, people are dying, shooting, blowing up. Great-grandfather would be unhappy and upset like all of us now.
