Traffic in fron of an ancient gate. My entry for The World of XPILAR - CITYSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK

Hello, friends of the xpilar community! This is my entry post for the weekly cityscape contest hosted by axeman. The photo I am participating in this week's contest was taken by me, some months ago while I was walking in the center of Athens and it depicts an ancient monument which name is Andriano's gate. This monument stands there from 132 AD to reminds us of the glorious days that Athens lived.

I like this photo because it combines old ancient Athens with its majestic marble monuments and the modern bustling city with many cars moving around incessantly. I tried many times to photograph this monument without cars, but I never succeeded as it is in a very central location and always has traffic and many cars in front of my lens.
