Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.48)
Hello my dear Steemians,
I'm happy to connect with you once more and I hope that everyone is doing well as I am. I'm grateful to @xpilar for running this competition within the WORLD OF XPILAR community. I drew a lotus flower in bloom today, with a grasshopper perched on top. I would want to demonstrate the methods I took to complete my drawing. Without further ado let's dive into the drawing.
The material I used at the time of drawing .
🔹Paper
🔹Pencil
🔹Eraser
🎨Step 01🎨
The first step of drawing a lotus flower should begin with the central petal of the flower. So I did the same thing. I have drawn the bottom rounded, while its top is pointed. After that, I add more lotus petals, each of which will lie flat on the lilypad the bloom is resting on. Following that, a few of the center's sketched petals have begun to bloom. I then draw vertical petals that branch out of the central one and point outward in all directions. I add a few little circles and sketch the pistil next to the central petal.
🎨Step 02🎨
After completing the drawing of the Lotus flower, I shaded each petal with the help of a 2B pencil. I also added some lines inside the petals to make it more beautiful.
🎨Step 03🎨
In the third step, I draw flower branches from the lower part of the flower. Then I draw its leaf with a long curved line. I added some more lines to make it a leaf shape of the lotus flower.
🎨Step 04🎨
I draw the branch from the lowest portion of the leaf in this step. I attached some small lines on both branches. Also, I have drawn its veins in the inner part of the leaf. I then gave the leaves and branches a lovely shade.
🎨Step 05🎨
I have drawn a grasshopper on the upper part of the lotus flower. I have attached details to the inside of its wings.
🎨Step 06🎨
Below the last drawn lotus flower and leaves I have drawn an oval shape, which represents the presence of water in its lower part of it.
