WOX Travel Contest | Week 18 : A Trip To Lalbagh Botanical Garden-Bangalore
How are you guys. I hope you all are well. This is my first post in this community. so I chose to tell you about a trip I went with great pleasure. First of all I would like to thank @oleh who is the creator of the contest.
Last march, group of my friends and i visited India. we were staying there in Bangalore. since it was a weekend day, we searched about places to see around Bangalore. out of all the places we searched, Lalbagh Botanical Garden was the only place that all my friends and I liked. It was a Sunday, so we prepared to go early to avoid the crowd. We had our breakfast where we stayed. We chose to travel by bus as it was not far from where we were staying. So we boarded the bus at 8 a.m.
After a journey of 35 minutes we, reached the place. There are four gates to enter the Lalbagh botanical garden. We took a ticket and entered through the main gate for a small fee of around 80 Indian rupees. As it was a holiday, there were a lot of people. There you can see people of all ages from small children to old people. India is a big country. So you can see people belonging to different races.
As you enter the garden through the gate, you can see a large rock on the left. So we climbed to the top of the rock first to see the surrounding. After climbing to the top of the rock, you can see many places places in Bangalore. A temple-like structure can be seen on the top of that rocky plateau. Some people were seen worshiping that structure.
While walking further on the rock, we could see couples in love at the lower part of the rock. Because such an area is a free area for such couples. After visiting the rock, we went down again to the garden road.
If I take you to a brief introduction about the Lalbagh botanical garden, it has a history of more than two hundred years. According to the plaques there, the garden was first started by a person named Hyder Ali. This park is located in south Bangalore, Karnataka. The park has a total area of 240 acres (760,000 square meter). One can see more than a thousand different types of plants in this botanical garden, trees that are more than a hundred years old.
In addition, you can see ornamental plants, different types of birds and flowers here. In the middles of the garden you can see a glass house set up for flower shows. A beautiful water pond can be seen In front of the glass house.
And also you can get a souvenir photo at this place for a very low price. So friends, I also took a photo there.
This place is an ideal heaven for someone who wants to spend a weekend vacation with his family. So guys, we walked through the different paths in the park and watched as much as we could. Ice cream vendors were seen at various places in the garden. We did not forget to taste the ice cream to relieve fatigue while walking. As the weather was hot to some extent, we decided to stop our travel at around 2 p.m. while there were still places to visit. After then we walked back towards the main gate.
Coming out of the park, you can also buy ornamental flowers for sale in the garden. After leaving the park we took our lunch outside and returned by bus to our accommodation. Although the journey was a bit tiring as the weather was hot, we had a lot of fun. In addition, we also gained a lot of knowledge about an unknown place. So guys, through through this contest, I did not forget to share that knowledge with you. This community is very important for those who like to travel like us.
At last I would like to invite @saku49539, @sudaraka96, @damithudaya to this contest.
