A New Beginning: Restarting Your Life
One of the lessons that life has taught over time is that life itself does not always follow a straight path. In fact, in life, you will have changes, challenges, twists, turns, bends, etc. There may even be sometimes that you may feel like you are not in the right path or that you are lost in direction. However, one thing that life also offers is the ability to press the "restart button." It does not matter for how long something has endured or for how long you have gone on a particular road, the truth is that you can still start again and create a new beginning. There are some problems that can only be solved by starting all over again instead of just progressing in futility.

It is worthy to note that restarting your life does not mean that you have failed in life, neither does it mean that you are a failure, rather it means that you are wise enough to know when to welcome change and when to change direction. You cannot continue to go in the wrong direction or continue to do things in an obviously wrong manner and then hope for a different and good result. Just to let you know; even time itself may not make a wrong to be right - you just need to turn to the wrong way to become right. The number of times that a wrong thing has stayed will not make it to produce a right result.
Now you may be thinking why you need a restart. There may come to a point in your life when you feel like you are stuck in life as a result of various reasons; some within your control and others beyond - like a crashed relationships, lack of jobs, regrets, bad habits, etc. All these can create a feeling of emptiness, sadness and thoughts of being left behind. In this case, you need to restart your life. Have you ever experienced the case where you will just wake up feeling drained, and you even start to lose interest in what you do? You might just need to restart your life and take a new leaf. The solution to your problem might just lie in doing things in a different way than what you used to do.
One of my friends shared with me what he experienced when he was in school. His father wanted him to study geophysics because he wanted him to work in an oil company after work. In fact, he already spoke with a couple of people that are expected to help him get into the company after graduation. However, he was not good at calculational subjects. In fact, he was practically forced to do what he was doing. Each day he woke up, he felt very "left behind" and was always drained by everything he did. He experienced so much difficulty, like someone kicking against the wall.
When his result of the first semester came out, it was so below expectation. By the second semester of the first year, he also declined. It was then that he told himself the truth that he was simply trying to progress in futility. He knew within himself that he will not make a headway in the course. He conferred with his parents and explained his difficulties with them and they saw with him and realized that he only took the course because of them. He had to restart his life and wrote another entrance exam for the course he wanted to study. He got in and it was a smooth ride. He graduated as the best in his department and he is doing well. Imagine if he did not restart his life, he would have kept progressing in futility and become frustrated.

It requires a bold and courageous step to restart. It does not stop at planning, you need to take daring and courageous action in order to effect a change. Changes do not just happen out of nowhere, otherwise you may wait for too long for the kind of change that you want; rather changes are made to happen. Remember that you are the one to determine absolutely what will become of your future by what you do in the present and the steps you take. If you know that a step will not lead you to your desired future, then you have to make a turn and have a restart.
