Slumpu is Not Not Stuckism

Stuckist Edgeworth Johnstone is a genius of abstraction. His Jompiy series are brilliant—that is, new, original, beautiful, thought-provoking, and revolutionary. Stuckism might hate it, but we’re important, grown-up Stuckists now, so we can amend the “rules” when convenient. Let’s take a vote. Jompiy (the Bitcoin of art) is highly conceptual and abstract, created by a Stuckist artist. Is this the time for a break in the Stuckist bulwark? Edgeworth walks his Jompiy in a pram around Camden Town giving away his paintings and concepts for free. There weren’t any takers for a long time until recently. The energy that drove me to Stuckism 10 years ago I feel again in Jompiy. So I’ve copied and created Slumpu, Jompiy’s brother/sister “currency”. Like Ethereum to Bitcoin and silver to gold, Slumpu is just another concept to believe in, a money to trust. Each Slumpu cost $20 in U.S. fiat currency because I need to buy olive oil and pay my rent to Rose. But it will be worth more than that immediately after the transaction. Like Jompiy, Slumpu never decreases in value. Stay tuned, there will be days in the near future that I give away Slumpu for free on city streets. Each series is designated by a letter in the Russian alphabet (that’s 33 letters, or 3,300 paintings). No more, no less, and never again. A limited collection of non-fungible tokens. Handmade NFT’s. Both Slumpu and Jompiy will last as long as paper can be protected from natural decay, unfortunate conflagration, flood, or insect attack.
