RE: Thirty-five years later...Fifth chapter of Genesis.
Super nice as usual. You add so many details in each of your drawings.
A suggestion.
When drawing holes or cracks, think where the deepest part is, and draw it darker, with a transition toward lighter value at the opposite direction.
For cracks, the same:
In your case, the crack is on the ground. So most bottom is the deepest, and therefore darkest.
Thank you, yes, looking at my drawings today I see a lot of mistakes, but I don’t raise my hand to change something, they have value for me as a stage in the development of drawing skills.
I appreciate your lessons and, now, I try to pay attention to what I neglected before.
That is the idea. To always learn. Drawing is just a tool.
Meaning, once you know the craft, you think less on how to draw, and more on what to draw.
Yes, for now, it's the other way around :), there are ideas of what to draw. but, not always there is an understanding of how to implement it.
:o)
The funniest thing will be after the seventh chapter, when the enumeration of the names of generations begins, who gave birth to whom, and so on, where there is no clue for something, visual, at that moment I switched to another topic and never returned to bible illustrations, but I need to will overcome it, somehow :).
Sometimes there is no need to think, just feel.
Your soul will tell you what it wants you to draw.
I already know how to show it, but there was a queue of drawings :).
