WoX photo #106 .:. the balconies
Almost pure monochrome. Well, that was just a starter; lets count this as an extra appeteaser.
The post goes for 'Photo of the week' photo-challenge by @mister-omortson — week #106. The prompt was: 'the balconies'.
Urban archeology is one of my favorite hobbies. In you dive deeply into the secret life of metropolis, you can encounter some amazing stuff. What is very special -- even within a few hours, in a different light, the same place may look different, not to mention how much everything changes depending on your viewing angle, depending on the lens you look at the streets through... And the city itself is also changing non-stop: something disappears, something comes. I really appreciate the urban "ephemera", perhaps that's why I like the genre of #streetphotography so much.
But lets move closer to the theme of the week. Actually, I don't photograph balconies... but ofc exceptions always happen. When I found out the theme for this week, I immediately remembered one very special walk in the summer of 2019, full of splendid encounters and memories, including even ... the Queen of England! Here, see for yourself. Below is the proof-pic; and the balcony is included, as well!
Городская археология - одно из моих любимых занятий. Здесь можно встретить много удивительных вещей. Даже через несколько часов, в другом освещении, прежнее место может выглядить по-другому, не говоря уже о том как все меняется в зависимости от твоего угла обзора, от того через какой объектив ты смотришь на улицы... Да и сам город тоже все время меняется! Что-то исчезает, что-то приходит. Я очень ценю городскую "эфемеру", возможно именно поэтому мне так нравится сам жанры стритфото.
Но ближе к теме недели. Специально, я не фотографирую балконы. Но случаются некоторые особенные случаи. Когда я узнал тему для этой недели, то сразу вспомнил одну очень специальную прогулку летом 2019 года - тогда мне встретилось много чего интересного, и в том числе... английская королева! Вот, смотрите сами. Ниже - пруфпик; и балкон также включен!

Golden hour at the Fontanka embarkment. This huge building seems to have only ONE balcony, lol. I wonder how its 'landlord' might feeling himself, to be the only one able to come out and enjoy the beautiful cityscape from his balcony?..
The balcony in a very very very fashionable city district - Bolshaya Morskaya street, where the urban elite and aristocrats preferred to settle. The building itself was built exclusively for the Russian bank, at the very end of XIX century. A nice balcony, isnt it? has enough room for a medium-sized cocktail party, I guess!
This impressive-size balcony belongs to the famous Astoria hotel.
Some art nuovo buildings in the most fashionable part of Ligovsky avenue.
I'd love to live my life arranged in environment of such a beautiful pieces of art.
Pretty sadly, they are not producing it like that any more.

Todas una obras de arte esos edificios y balcones, realmente quedé enamorada de cada una de sus fotografías. Que lástima que ya no construyan como antes.
¡sobre! en ese caso... Definitivamente debería publicar la parte 2 de mi publicación como continuación de este hilo. Acabo de encontrar otra carpeta antigua en mi archivo, tiene mucha más belleza.
