dried delicacy (persimmons)
This is a dried persimmons - actually, a big delicacy, even though it may not look like that. Persimmons have a strong and vivid astringent taste, which become completely removed when they are dried. I adore persimmons for their outlook (this is one of my fave subjects to shoot in the autumn time), but I dont tolerate their taste -- except of the dried form.
The photo below was taken a year ago, when I stumbled upon the dried persimmons visiting a local market, and could not resist the temptation to buy some... (they are not cheap, quite on the contrary!)

You can dry persimmons in autumn, soo nice smell in the apartment then... Better to choose a non-astrigent form called королёк in Russian.
The image is beautiful.
