Great Gallery of Evolution in Paris (6 pictures)

Hello steemians !

A few days ago, we visited the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution in Paris.
The entrance fee is 13 euros (13,42 dollars) per person and the gallery is open from 10am to 6pm, except in exceptional circumstances, which you can check on their website.

We visited as a family, and once again, visiting with a child brings something magical to everything on view.

First of all, the huge whale skeleton in the entrance and an impressive start to the visit!

Then we can wander among an impressive array of animals, land and sea, shells and insects of all kinds.

We got to see some magnificent felines (I can see why some cats are house tigers when I see this one :D ).

We even got to meet Pumbaa! The child was over the moon with one of his favorite Lion King characters :)

This exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse into a different time, when hunting animals for taxidermy was widely accepted. While these collections are now historical, they raise important ethical questions about our relationship with nature and the impact of human activity on wildlife. The exhibition does an excellent job of addressing the urgent issue of endangered species, with a dedicated section on animals that have already disappeared or are on the brink of extinction. In conclusion, this exhibition is well worth a visit. A truly thought-provoking experience for all ages.

The site is also impressive for its architecture.
