#club5050 Christmas Cracker Idea
Christmas crackers are a traditional British festive table decoration which gets the party started. They usually contain a paper crown, a joke and a small gift. You pull them with the person next to you and they have a strip of cardboard with a small amount of gun powder on which goes bang when they are pulled.

Rather than buying pre-made Christmas crackers each year with a plastic toy which will either be lost or broken before the Christmas pudding is served, why not try making your own?

Kits can be purchased from a number of shops including Amazon and will include the unrolled cracker, jokes, paper hat and instructions. You can then choose your own prizes tailored to each person’s interest.

In my family we like to include a scratch card each and a miniature of that person's favourite spirit. Other options include fancy chocolates, small toys for the children, nail polish for the girls, a puzzle or even a Christmas tree ornament, anything really which you can think of and fits in a cracker. What festive treat would you put in your cracker?

On a separate note I powered up twice for the past two days!

Thanks to @petface, I learned about Christmas Crackers. I had never heard of this tradition before. I liked the idea of personalized gifts and the way of packaging. I also loved the table setting, the colors, the tablecloth, the santa napkins, the flower 😍👌
I am glad that you came to know the Christmas cracker tradition by reading my post. I am a big fan of it as it gives all something fun to do rather than just sit around the table eating and drinking. I am pleased that you also like the photos featured here which are never easy to take because of the light indoors and its many reflections in the cutlery and glassware. It is always worth going the extra mile for our loved ones and make a holiday or a special occasion even more exciting by pretty little touches 😍
I love anything that makes ordinary things fun and extraordinary. At this point, I am open to new ideas and traditions. As you said, it's always worth it for our loved ones 🌸
Lovely pics @petface Great cravker ideas too.Your photos put us all in that festive mood:)🎁🎀🎈🎉
Thank you ever so much @dianadee I am off to a Christmas market here in England tomorrow so another festive post of mine will find its way into the WORLD OF XPILAR very soon. I like your new avatar by the way. I personally started thinking what shall I update my profile photo to 💁♀️ I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend.
Enjoy the Christmas Market. Sounds like a lot of fun too. Yes I cut my hair as it was driving me crackers, in the summer heat @petface
This is actually something which I have been postponing for a while and now it turns out that the hairdressers are quite busy just before the holidays 🙈 I will still try again this Saturday though.
So funny The lady kept on combing my mask elastic and it flew off all the time.Pleased with the final result, though😊
It l👀ks good on you 🙂 The other day when I took off my mask outside the train station I reckon its elastic must have caught in one of my earrings. So I am now left with a single earring. I loved this pair which I got in Scotland earlier it the year. I even filled in a lost property form but unfortunately nothing so far. Many hairdressers here had to remain shut for ages during the pandemic which doesn’t seem to be over at all and some are no longer in business. Many went back to their home countries in Europe. So now there are less options to choose from and of course the prices went up. The rate for just a dry haircut near our house starts from £25 which I think is a bit steep.
Yes 25£ seems really too much. My haircut was 275 rand, that is reasonable. Not only was my hairdresser reasonable..she listened to what I wanted ..not a scissor happy style.
Best one yet.😊🎀
This sounds exactly like the hairdresser I am after 🎀 I am really pleased with the price you got as well. Pity it is so far away so I can’t give it a try. I would love to enjoy some winter sun too 😎
Excellent Christmas post! Beautiful photographs that teach a lot! Greetings.
