One Day at my in-laws' Home

We had to get to our friend's wedding on time, so we left a day early. We arrived late that night for their ceremony. We had dinner at the house where we were staying, got ready, and wore the lovely saree my mother-in-law had given me during our shopping shop. We went to the Haldi ceremony after getting dressed, and it went quite well. After the rites, we stepped down to bed early because we needed to get up early the next day for the wedding.

The next morning, we got ready, ate breakfast, and went to the wedding. the wedding rites were equally lengthy and continued throughout the day, eventually ending around 10 p.m. The groom's family happened to be from a nearby village near ours, and we decided to travel with them.

We weren't sure if there would be place on their bus, so we asked a few people to allow us with them. While others had hesitated, a few nice people agreed, and we were able to get onto the bus. The bus let us off on a nearby road, from which we took another bus to our village.

The route from the main road to our farm is very bumpy and in terrible condition. Leopards, known locally as "Dipda" are frequently seen in the area at night. Leopards and lions roam freely, making it rather dangerous. We were worried about how we would get home safely, but we made it. We had dinner, changed onto comfy clothing, and went straight to bed because we were exhausted.

The next day, we decided to stay with my in-laws' and spend some time exploring the fields. After breakfast, we went on to the fields and noticed some people gathering coconuts off our tress. These laborers sell the coconut straight and pay us on the spot, saving us the effort of looking for purchasers ourselves.

Later, we cleaned up the field, which had grown fairly untamed with dry coconut leaves scattered throughout. These leaves are enormous and heavy, so clearing them required a lot of efforts. After cleaning up the area, we went on a walk to explore and spotted the mango trees growing beautifully. We sat there for a long, enjoying the peaceful environment. My mother-in-law had also planted some veggies, so we looked through the fresh produce and praised what she had grown. It was a wonderful experience to be surrounded by nature and appreciate the effort that goes into farming.

We clicked photographs of the natural environment around us. Following that, we recently installed several pipes in the field. Now we don't have to manually water the field. All we have to do is press a button, and water will flow through the pipes much like rain. Within an hour, the coconut plants receive enough water.

COCONUT FRESH WATER 😋

ME WITH FRESH COCONUT'S 🥥

After finishing all of these efforts, my mother-in-law kindly offered us fresh coconut water and soft coconut 🥥 cream. We drank so much coconut water that we weren't hungry enough for lunch, so we skipped it and ate dinner later. The next day, we had to leave in the afternoon. so, we spent the entire morning in packing. After packing, I did the dishes, made breakfast, and cooked spicy parathas. My mother-in-law provided us with all of the necessities for our journey. We took the 3 PM bus and arrived home by 10 PM.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about how our day went. It was a hard day due to all of the travelling, and we were unable to really enjoy village life. However, village life remains far better to city life.

Thank you 😍
