🐱 Muffin is Here!

Recalling and penning down the bittersweet story of Meeno somehow opened up my heart for a new kitty, Muffin. I mentioned it last time that it's my brother's cat and he was trying to give it away due to a couple of reasons. However, he couldn't find a suitable owner and brought her to our parents' home, after an extensive road trip of 12 hours.

The Inequality at Large: We just got Lucky!

As a medical professional, especially working in public health, one thing I've really come to understand is that so many of us with a lot of advantages just got lucky. This career choice keeps me grounded and humbled on a daily basis. There was this one time when our team from AKU went out to Thatta, Gharo for a project - it really drove that point home. Being able to help the underprivileged in an area with less resources reminded me how blessed I am to have had the opportunities I've had.

Lake Louise, A Dream Came True 💙

I am so happy to announce that one of my dreams has come true😍 Some may remember that I made a post about Lake Louise about one and a half year ago. Here I am, I visited it 🎉🥳 I never thought I would have the chance to see this lake on the other side of the world in such a short time. Life is full of surprises so keep dreaming 😊

Reflections - Dancing around Honesty, Vulnerability, and Balance...

Sometimes I start to think that I write here just for the sake of writing. Yet, whenever there's a gap in my writings, something begins to bother me—an urge to write, to confess, to release, to interact. The interaction part is the trickiest. I want you people to read me, talk to me through the keys, relate to my writing, criticize me, sing with me... That feeling is something I can't put into words...

My wife is 10 km away from me. I don't know her phone number, and she knows mine. After 60 days, I don't think she's very worried about me. The thing is, I understand this, but my heart doesn't. I dream that we're happy together, and I wake up crying.

Green Dreams

I arrived back in England on Tuesday 18th June and yesterday I went to a local garden centre with my mum as she has plans to renovate the garden. It's already in motion, and as always, the first job is getting rid of a load of junk! It seems in this house we are always getting rid of stuff and the garden was always the space where things got dumped in between trips to the tip. So, understandably, my mum (and the whole family) has always wanted an outdoor space that can actually be enjoyed.

I can ALWAYS find LOVE in my GARDEN

I have a very definite pull to my garden lately. Not that I have not always been very passionate about it… but there has definitely been a huge shift within lately. There is just something magical about spending time in a garden - and I don’t mean just sitting there soaking it all up, though that is also great soul food.
