"UNA IMAGEN, UNA HISTORIA"
The time was 2022, we five friends—Fuad, Sajal, Roni, Shanto and I, always loved nature and sightseeing. We haven't traveled anywhere in a long time, so we five friends planned a little adventure.
After a lot of searching, I chose the century-old zamindar house of Sundurpur village in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district. Which is our neighboring upazila. Never been there before even though it is located in a neighboring upazila. It is heard that the shadow of mystery moves around this house. Locals call it Zamindar Bari and Mia Bari.
In the morning we five friends met together. We had two motorcycles. We left the motorcycle. When I reached Sundurpur crossing the unpaved road of Gram Bangla, it was around ten in the afternoon. I went and saw that there were many visitors besides us.
One of the elders of the village addressed us, "Father, are you new here?" We answered "yes". He also said that the landlord's house is now almost abandoned. Some people saw us and said that we should not go or stay there after evening. Hearing these words increased our excitement.
We friends got curious and started looking around. Here we took many pictures. I had a really fun time. I found a different kind of peace here. Away from the locality, hidden from the crowd, in a quiet environment.
The landlord's house was huge. There are three houses here. The red brick building, the big pillars, the wooden carved windows, in all, the impression of an ancient tradition was clearly understood. The main gate of the house is made of huge wood.
After passing the main gate of the house, we felt a slight chill as we stepped into the courtyard. There is no sound around except the chirping of birds. Our curiosity was piqued as well as a little fear, but we held our own.
Entering inside, I saw a large hall, huge carved doors, huge chandeliers (looked very old). The old man told us that there was a secret room in this house, where the landlords used to hide their treasures. Out of curiosity we started looking for that house with a friend.
At one point Roni found a secret door. Pushing the door we entered, we saw an old wooden bookshelf and some torn books. This is such a thrilling scene. Until now we have seen such scenes in movies but now it is in front of our eyes. We could not believe our eyes.
I did not realize when the time had passed. Suddenly the sun began to sink in the west, and a strange stillness descended upon the house. Just then I heard a loud noise, as if something broke somewhere. Our stomach started to tingle.
Our breath goes away. Our body hairs stood on end. We were all holding hands and trying to stay together. Then Fuad told us that he will not stay here anymore. We also agree with Fuad.
Then we wanted to rush out, but the door closed automatically. Nothing could be seen in the darkness, only a gust of wind hit us. We all panicked. Sajal was a bit timid among us.
Suddenly Sajal shouted, "See! There is a shadow moving in that corner!". We forgot the phone we had with us. We all took out our phones and turned on our torches to take a closer look and realized it was a big bat.
Overcoming the fear, we slowly started knocking on the door. After some effort the door opened. When I came out, the evening started to fall. When he told the old man back in the village, he smiled and said, "It's not a haunted house, it's an old house. The door was closed in the wind."
We then left the hap and survived. We laughed then, but this mystical experience remained forever in our lives. We left for home with the motorcycle.
I invited my three friends to participate in this amazing contest.
