This week marks Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day in The United States on the third monday of january. Dr. King was a Baptist Pastor, Activist and Fighter for The Civil Rights of African American Citizens, the youngest ever to win the Nobel Peace prize.

In one of the most important events in his civil rights struggle, Martin Luther King led a boycott of Montgomery's public buses. This protest lasted from December 1, 1955 to December 20, 1956, when the U.S. Supreme Court declared unconstitutional the law requiring segregation on Montgomery public transportation.

His legacy has transcended beyond his cowardly assassination and his message has endured in time, where today we all wish for a world where no one is judged by the color of their skin but by the content as a person as he said in his speech "I have a dream".

I leave this drawing as my humble tribute to Martin Luther King Jr and to my participation in The World of XPILAR - Portrait Photography and Art Contest Week #025.
