SAD JOURNEY
I walk down the road, alone.
No one accompanies me.
On a shortcut, in a soft voice:
"How is he? Is he well?"
It's the curious warbler;
There is a sweet confusion within me...
Just then, a rose asks:
"So, how about him? Hasn't he come yet?"
I feel sad, unwell...
And they won't let me forget him!
Then the impertinent sun:
"I am a strand of his hair..."
Thankfully, it's nightfall.
At last, I can think!
Ah, now they leave me alone!
Suddenly, I hear the moonlight:
"What immense sorrow overwhelms me,
What pain my heart feels!
I have an enormous longing!
To see your sweet absent one!"
I return home. What sadness!
My pain is even greater...
