City Postcards
During last Holy Week, which this year took place during the last days of March, I went to the center of the city in order to participate in some of the different religious activities that take place during those dates.
Besides touring Catholic temples in the area, some of them centuries old, I had the opportunity to observe the faces of the parishioners who were there, with faces that reflected the devotion and faith deposited in the benevolent designs of a Higher Power. Certainly, as a believer, I could not escape the atmosphere that reigned in the temples I visited, and I sought to renew my beliefs.
As usual in me, I took the opportunity to expand my image bank with an abundant collection of photographs, not only of the churches but also of other places and buildings located in the area.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original images to my satisfaction.
Postales Citadinas
Durante la pasada Semana Santa, que este año tuvo lugar los últimos días de Marzo, acudí al centro de la ciudad con la finalidad de participar en algunas de las diferentes actividades de carácter religioso que se llevan a cabo durante esas fechas.
Además de recorrer templos católicos de la zona, algunos de ellos centenarios, tuve la oportunidad de observar los rostros de las feligreses que allí se encontraban, con semblantes que reflejaban la devoción y la fe depositada en los designios benevolentes de un Poder Superior. Ciertamente, como creyente no pude escapar de la atmósfera que reinaba en los templos a los que acudí, y busqué renovar mis creencias.
Como es usual en mí, aproveché para ampliar mi banco de imágenes con una abundante colección de fotografías, no sólo de las iglesias sinó también de otros lugares y edificaciones ubicadas en la zona.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.

Podría jurar por un momento que la última foto era de alguna calle de Mérida, México, hasta que leí que era de Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Te quedaron preciosas las fotos, @manuelgil64. ¡Saludos!
Jejeje! Aquí en Venezuela también tenemos una Mérida, pero está ubicada en la cordillera andina, y a una gran distancia de la costa, a diferencia de la Mérida yucateca. Barquisimeto es una ciudad intermedia, a mitad de camino del centro del país, la costa, los Andes y los llanos.
