Grace | A deadly chain

Hello my people, happy Wednesday to all of you and welcome to my blog, today I want to share with you a warrior style drawing in this case, and this is Grace as I decided to call her, this is a girl with great skills to handle chains as powerful weapons; basically I decided to make this character inspired by video games and series like (Mortal Kombat) for example, of which I am super fan and I wanted to create a character of my own.

PROCESS

The first thing in the process of my drawing was to materialize my idea for my character, for this I had the clear idea that it would be a pretty girl with short hair, after having the structure of the character and the pose ready, it was there that I could concentrate on creating his face with a very demarcated expression; in this case she would be a girl with a rude temperament. Then the choice of colors was completely up to my imagination and for this I took advantage of the most recent tones in my personal color palette to build the painting of the character; In my latest drawings I have used many shades of brown and fuchsia and that is why you will see many of these colors predominate, especially in clothes.

My main idea for this character was to paint her as a white girl around 20-25 years old or so and for this I had to use a lot of the watercolor brushes and the finger brush to gently blend and blend the skin with the intention of giving her a look more feminine; after the above I started adding blush strokes with the airbrush at very low opacity. Once her skin was almost ready, it was there that I was able to concentrate on painting her eyes, for example; For Grace's eyes I decided to use blue tones that I recently used in another work and that I really liked, I worked the eyes with very small and pointed brushes with something of a slightly rocky texture.

The next step in the painting was the creation of the dress and for this I used the colors that I mentioned before from my personal color palette, for the blouse at the bottom of the suit I used fuchsia and some shades of pink and red; then for the jacket and jacket I used many brown tones with which I always paint wood and thus achieve a texture very similar to leather, which was what I was looking for. Then I gave the hair a very platinum blonde appearance that would make the perfect complement with the blue eyes, for this I had to make many long and descending strokes with which to create a very striking short hair and with a certain shine on top.

For the last part of my drawing, what I did was focus on creating the chains that would be the favorite weapon of this Grace character, chains with which she can tie and hurt whoever she wants from long distances; To create the chain, he helped me a little with a texture brush to make the links neat, then with a very fine brush and yellow colors I gave each link separately this characteristic metallic texture and relief, like gold. After finishing the chain well, the last thing I did was paint a rather gloomy wooded path, I gave that essence to the bottom of being a kind of very very gloomy autumn forest.
