Reflections upon the Future and our Actions
Yesterday I spent some time with a very old friend of mine.
He works and lives with his family in one of the countries in Europe with the highest standard of living.
Yet, while we were having a cup of coffee, he shared they want to move back to the country.
This was really a huge surprise to me. They have two kids, both in school. They have pretty decent jobs, one of them a manager in a production factory and the other one in sales.
It appeared a long conversation and we brought on the table many sides of it all. The salaries, the pensions, the health systems, the transport system, the way people think and precept the life at these latitudes...
At the end, it appeared the reason is generally the fact he doesn't seem the things to improve, contrary, he thinks life is getting worse there. Moreover, that is a country that has plenty of job opportunities and really pays good salaries.
So I guess, the conclusion here is that sometimes we are ready to make big and risky changes in our lives just because we need to feel things are just getting better, in a way...

That's 100% true. But usually the people who want to return to BG are those who have been in other countries for many years and have totally lost touch with the reality in the country. I really feel sorry for them for the absolutely wrong choice they will make. Although, BG is a good country for people who retire in foreign countries and come to live here with the high pensions from there. It is not a good place to live in any other case.
Besides, one wants to see some progress in general life, really, but in BG such a thing has not happened since... so many years. And the lack of any progress at all ever can even make people feel good because they haven't seen anything good and expect nothing either. But for people who have ever seen something better, I don't know how this situation will affect them. Anyway, to each their own judgement, right?
Left! :)
We, the people, want whatever we do not have. No matter we need it or not. Human nature.
