Power of Photography - Imprinted by LightCaptured
I wondered here which word is better.
"Power" or "Importance".
Certainly, both are correct and absolutely, more words could be told in that regards.
So what's that post about?
Below you'll see a few photos from the port of Burgas, a big city on the Bulgarian shores of Black Sea.
A couple of days ago I found out that this statue has been removed.
I don't know the reasons but it is sad and pity when art is being removed, no matter the reasons.
I don't believe that piece of art was somehow inappropriate and even if it represents something in the past that someone isn't proud of or ashamed, it still can serve as a reminder.
My wild guess would be someone didn't like how precise this item is at saying how there is a hidden wolf inside some "powerful" people ;)
Here is the statue:

Oh, you touch on an absolutely favorite topic! I, as a lover of this wonderful city of Burgas, in which, despite everything, I would live someday, I cannot help but get excited in front of a photo of this mysterious sculpture. I have to say that when I first saw it I read a lot about it and the controversial way it came out and was received, all the scandals surrounding it that led to its removal. I saw with my own eyes its absence afterwards, only the pedestal was left. And I felt sad. I love mysteries and enigmas and this sculpture, although modern, was just that, a bit scary, but definitely caught my interest with the character it portrays - this great wizard of royal blood, the founder of Bogomilism.
Oh, really? That's indeed interesting, now I have to go search and read more.
Thank you :)
It seems to me though, in the daily hurry we don't have time anymore for mysteries and hidden messages. It has to be simple to be understood by the crowd...
Precisely because it was not understood, perhaps that is why it was removed. But if the crowd is to be reckoned with, then many things must disappear forever - all art, all sophistication, all questions, anything that makes you think. I don't know if you have noticed that a large part of the population is of low intelligence. I hope they, as a majority, will never take precedence over things, life, the world... Then it will get scary.
Well, I don't know. Such people are usually happier so what actually matter in the end? ;) Sometime, more successful and definitely with more children, LOL
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
Thanks so much, have a wonderful evening! :)
