Dolmens near Hlyabovo, Bulgaria - Imprinted by LightCaptured
I bet you have that one "special" person in your life who knows everything.
As the joke says, in one newspaper ad "I am selling Encyclopedia Britannica because my wife/husband/GF/BF/neighbor/colleague knows f*cking everything!"
Use the subject that describes the best your case in particular :D
Now seriously, ask that person about the purpose of the dolmens. Truth is, no matter how much we know about the universe we live in, those "primitive" stone formations still hide their purpose to all of us, the "modern" people.
It is of huge surprise how many dolmens there are in Bulgaria.
When I tried to read something interesting about the dolmens near the village of Hlyabovo, I stumbled upon tens of them in the vicinity. Moreover, this is just in Sakar mountain, one of the 20+ mountains in the country.
The name of the village is also quite interesting, based on the Bulgarian word for "bread" --> "hlyab".
Next time I travel there, I will search for the local bakery and taste a bread, must be unique!
Let's dip into the atmosphere of the dolmens...

Well, this is one of the topics/reasons for the human mind to capitulate. Maybe the answer can be given by AI? 🤔 I doubt it. 😅 We were discussing this topic when you showed pictures of a menhir, I remember that. The case is the same. And I can add one more such - the rock niches. Well, life is interesting after all. As I've said before, if we knew everything, the world would be an endlessly boring place. On the other hand, we are so advanced (supposedly) in technology and other things, or at least we claim to be advanced, but so many, even basic things remain unexplained. Then we pretend not to notice these things, that they are not so important. Only because we cannot explain them and know nothing about them.
I think we, the modern people suffer, because we no longer live WITH the land, we live ON it.
We lost the connection and Mother Nature may consider us parasites at some point...
You are such an optimist 🤭Now I'm thinking of that meme with the planets where Earth has a thermometer in her mouth and Mars asks her: What's wrong with you? And Earth answers: Humans. It's contagious.
True, true... Observing the latest natural disasters that happen... Earth is already shaking us off, I guess...
very well said, we should get back closer to nature before it is too late
