Beautiful thoughts in the form of a poem, dear @KaySmile44, I agreed with you in all senses. Repairing broken things is for some people a really great passion, and for every one must be knowledge at hand. Our times teach consuming and throw to the rubbish can.

I remembered a Japanese traditional art of fixing broken ceramic:

This repair technique is called kintsugi, which translates as "golden joinery" and uses a special lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum, to fix the object in a way that highlights (rather than hides) the damage. Source
