Plant power, or ginger vitality - six macro shots
My post goes for Weird Vegetables challenge suggested by @xpilar
🍆 Now its part 5, and suddenly I have something to come up with.
This ginger root I didn't look for on purpose, it came into my hands itself, right in time to take part in this round contest. Last week I replenished my ginger supplies - and bought much more than we needed for kitchen. I cut off a piece for current use, and the rest part (quite weighty!) I wrapped in a paper bag and put in a drawer (not into a fridge)... There it stayed quietly in the dark for more than a week. And ... looks like it decided: it's time to reproduce!
:)))))
No, this is not the first time I hold ginger in my hands, I do know about the colossal vitality of this plant. I often see how tender green buds swell and sprout on the ginger tubers. But, hmm, most often we use ginger before things go as far as this time. I have never seen SUCH a development of ginger sprouts. And what is especially funny, what surprised me - their shape. Somehow it reminded me of a frill, of an axolotle's gills. See for yourself:
I found it extremely funny. I will share all the images I took, even if they seem the same.
