Pattern making in Islamic art
Hi friends!
Once you get the drawing of the basic helplines to develop a design with one or several patterns, the possibilities are multiple.
Here, in the drawing below you´ll see the helplines drawn in the previous post on Islamic Art.

This eight-pointed star is one of the patterns we can achieve. Try to find the way to obtain it using the helplines.
Another one is this octagon.
or this...
The four-pointed star...
Another shape...
again another shape...
From there, you can continue to find new regular shapes (this is required for making a pattern, they must comply with the principles of symmetry).
You can also combine several shapes to make a pattern, as in the example below.
Or as in this other one, resulting from the combination of several primary shapes.
By assigning different colours to this, we can already imagine what a surface filled with this pattern might look like.
