Drawing like a pro - 78, Three-points perspective - Looking up
Hi friends!
Here again a cube but not well done, perhaps not as well as the previous ones, in other lessons. No vertical lines or horizontal lines... weird.
If we add some elements? That changes our perception, it is not a simple cube. It's a building or something that looks like it.
By extending the vanishing lines, we can set two vanishing points and see that there are new vanishing lines on our drawing paper. New lines pointing towards the top of our drawing paper.
We can extend these new vanishing lines until they intersect and at that crossing point set a new vanishing point VP3.
Making higher the lateral faces of the initial cube, we are left with a figure like this.
By drawing precise vanishing lines for this new shape, we can also draw the hidden lines on the back of this volume if need be.
It is now possible to divide the shape using the same methods used for one or two-point perspectives.
By leaving out the lower part of the drawing, the feeling of height is even stronger.
That's right, like when we are at the foot of a building and we look up.
I wish you a very nice day and good exercise!
Very interesting indeed!
Well, our friend @arcoiris is back with his magnificent watercolour lessons.
Check out this last post that contains very interesting and useful advice about watercolours in different qualities and formats from different brands.

That looks really cool, any art of tower have the three dimensional drawing as a basis. Love it!
Thank you, Stef! I hope you find it useful.
