Hello guys, how you all doing? Today I decided to share this incredible work I did today, this work is my entry for pencil drawing competition organized by @xpilar
I titled this piece.

Aged Man

There is beauty in being old, it crazy how we live in a world where people are ashamed of being called old or acknowledged the fact that they are getting old. There was a time I ones had this conflicting thought in my mind, when I realized that I was getting old, this sort of like made me humble. Even on the street I saw little children addressing me as uncle, I was like how does this little kids see me knowing fully well I was just a young adult in my twenties. Life can be very crazy but getting old makes it beautiful, knowing fully well that a lot of people dreamt or believed they will reach the age you are right now but never got to see it.
In life we will always be faced with uncertainty, that’s because we live in a crazy world, but we need to know that we ought to show love to one another and to ourselves.

There is so much beauty in old age if only you acknowledge it, sometimes people who get old up to this extent have so much positivity, this is one of the reason why I love to hang around elderly people, so I can draw from the fountains of their life experiences. There is a saying here in Africa which says.

“ What an elderly person sees sitting down, you as a young man even if you climb the highest sky scrapper you will never see it” .

This work basically was done in the space of 1 and half hour.
