She is getting old and extremely weak

All good things must come to an end. I know that and I have had no issues in accepting that as well but a living being is not a thing is it? She's been with me since more than half a decade and now she's getting old.

Today my mom informed me that Arya hasn't eaten since last three days and is getting extremely weak. I wasn't able to pay attention to her since the past week due to tough schedule but when I looked at her today, I found her extremely weak. It was as if she's a mere skeleton with a coat of fur on her. My mom told me that Arya has only been drinking water and Hasn't eaten anything and just wants to sleep in the blankets.

My first guess qas she's having a fever but I couldn't take any chances so I took her to the veterinary clinic immediately. There I found a very welcoming doctor, named Dr. Arslan who ensured me that he'd take care of Arya as if it's her own pet.

He ran some tests and on her and found out that she doesn't have a fever but a severe mouth infection that has started to spread and caused her not to eat anything. Her weight had dropped significantly as well

Looking at her condition Dr Arslan immediately opted for an antibiotic, ie, Ciprofloxacin which was injected subcutaneous. Managing Arya for an injection wasn't a difficult task as she was already a lot lethargic. Those who own cats will understand what I'm saying. Cats aren't easily injected medicines.

But symptomatic treatment isn’t the solution, is it? We need to eliminate the source of the infection, and for that, Dr. Arslan told me that my cat needs to have scaling done. I was surprised to hear this, as I didn’t know cats also need scaling. Dr. Arslan even offered to let me do the scaling myself. For those who don’t know, scaling is a procedure used to clean teeth by removing plaque and calculus. I have scheduled an appointment for Arya’s scaling tomorrow.

Right now I need prayers from you guys. Arya is not doing well at all and my mom is really worried for her. She is my first child and I'm not yet ready to live my life without her.
