You can say that you are going to chance direction to your heart's content, but the avalanche is pretty much in charge of the direction you are going!

This is an interesting take on things. I think that for most people, making a real change in trajectory in their life isn't really something most people can pull off. I know that on a regular basis I come up with ideas about how I am going to drastically overhaul the health aspects of my life but I am already aware of the fact that this is going to take a near complete redesign of how I live almost all aspects of my life and if I think about it too much it starts to seem impossible.

As far as winter is concerned, I can't say that I really can relate although the last time I was visiting the states and felt a real winter, it further enforced this belief I have that moving to place that never really has a winter, was a good idea.
