I found this dragonfly in one of the forests of Aceh-Indonesia.

A dragonfly is a type of insect that lives and reproduces by laying eggs and the life cycle of a dragonfly, from egg to death as an adult, varies from six months to a maximum of six or seven years. Dragonfly body has some uniqueness. The head of the dragonfly is almost entirely the eye. Dragonflies have a viewing angle of almost 360 degrees. What dragonflies can't see is what's right behind them.
Dragonflies lay their eggs on plants in the water.
Most of the dragonfly life cycle is spent in the form of nymphs, below the surface of the water, using internal gills to breathe. Dragonflies live as ferocious carnivores. dragonflies are predators that prey on animals smaller than themselves. In the form of larvae, dragonflies prey on mosquito larvae and insect larvae. As adults, dragonflies prey on mosquitoes and small insects that can be harmful.

Dragonflies are generally relatively large and perch with their wings open or spread out to the side. generally the type of dragonfly, is a strong flier and wide roaming area. Some other species have specific habitats and narrow living areas. Needle dragonflies usually fly weakly, and rarely venture far.
