Yeah, my wife and I just got over COVID. We were both sick for about a week, she had it a few days before I did.
And where did we get it? We went to a graduation party, where no one was wearing masks. And everybody was packed into a room, sitting and standing close to each other, giving each other hugs, and not having a care in the world.
It took about five days from the party for COVID to show up in my wife…8 days for me.
We are both vaccinated and boosted. Symptoms that we had were like the common flu. Congestion, coughing, runny nose, a sore body, and headaches. I am thankful though, it could have been worse.
I am glad it's over. And both of us now are much more cautious about where we go.
It is very common that people get it from parties and weddings. Like our colleagues a couple visited wedding of relatives, despite of being outside majority of time both still got it.
Many people who against vaccines now saying that those who vaccinated still getting Covid. It is true it is difficult to know if vaccination helped a bit like to have light infection or not.
I am glad that you and your wife recovered and back to normal. By the way couple of my colleagues despite of vaccines and booster had the virus twice. So nobody knows how it will be in future.
