Emergence - Digital Art Competition 13

I was watching a movie where this sorceress emerged out of a lake spontaneously. So, I decided to create a render like it.

Started with a Genesis 9 Female...

Added the semi-completed model, then I morphed the body, changed her position, facial expression, and added clothes.

Added hair.

Added texture and color.

Added hannah art to arm, and a necklace

Added a water environment.

Pre-rendered in IRAY so you can see additional changes.

Added a cloudy background.

Added a bit of water disturbance.

Added a smoky cloud.

Added sparks.

Final render.

In Summary:

• I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
• I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
• I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
• Rendering time was about 3 hours.
