Away from Home - Portrait Photography and Art Contest (WEEK #100)
Sophia...on a train...in a new city...on a rainy night...away from home for the first time.
This render is an entry to the Portrait Photography and Art Contest - WEEK #099
Thank you to @axeman and World of Xpilar for hosting this contest.
Started with a Genesis 8 Female Template.
Added a train environment.
After I completed the character, set the posture, facial expression, texture and clothes…I added her into the scene.
1st Render - I added hair, city reflection in the window, then rendered the scene.
Post Photoshop Final Render: I added city light reflections in the window and on the train, added rain droplets on the window, increased light exposure to simulate city lights coming through the window enhancing Sophia’s face.
Tools, assets and techniques used:

In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering times can take 10 minutes to 2 hours per render.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere, creating depth of field, etc…)
Stay frosty people.
I dont enjoy too much the colour here, but do like the texture, and overall look, especially the eyes. well done!
What colour do you not enjoy? And thanks :)
I mean this, magent-ish+grey in the face. 'dusty'.
Yeah, I put dust and water on the window...but I could have used more natural daylight...it would have given the face a more natural look...thanks for observation @qwerrie :)
