Spotted street in cloudy and rainy weather

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Recently, in street photography, I began to love spotty subjects. These are pictures where there are a lot of various subjects, objects, people in the frame and all this is mixed. The effect is enhanced if you shoot with a telephoto lens and hold down the aperture.

Sunlight also contributes to spotting, which not only makes the whole scene more contrast, but also enhances the overall spotting due to shadows.

But what about on cloudy days?

When it is cloudy outside, the diffused light weakens the contrast, and there are no shadows at all.

Rainy weather will help a little.

Puddles and wet objects become darker, colors are slightly brighter, and contrast is enhanced.

Plus, if we need spotting, then the number of objects also increases due to reflections.

The principle of seeing a picture is approximately the same: dispersion of vision, evaluation and perception of a light-color scene.

Silhouettes, it turns out, can be in cloudy weather.

In this report, you can immediately see where the frame is completely filled, then it is perceived more holistically, but as a pattern.

And where it is empty, that is, there are few objects, it looks simpler, less abstract and more reportage.

Both have the right to exist, only for different purposes.

The most difficult thing will be to find spots where it is simply cloudy, dry and there are almost no people and objects.

And the best thing will be the sun coming out right after the rain!

Especially if it happens in the afternoon.

In the next part, I will tell you where spotted plots work best.

But if you analyze the pictures, you can guess without explanation.
