Steemit Engagement Challenge WOX S6W6: "My Photo Diary "5 photos of memorable events in 2022"
Photo 1: Samsung SM-A530F, f/1.7, 1/400 sec, ISO 40The year 2022 startet very well. Covid - 19 restrictions began to come to an end. Finally I could go to Aalborg, Denmark to visit family. My 88 year (at that time) old mother lives a few minutes from Karolinelund. This park has street art all around on buildings and fenches. I love to go there everytime I visit. This beautiful painting is done by Danish artist Burnon and my first visit for a long time. Because I live in Norway I could not go as long as borders were close.
Photo 2: Samsung SM-A530F, f/1.7, 1/100 sec, ISO 65The feeling of things getting back to normal did not last for long. On the 24th of Februar Russia invaded Ukraine. Everything changed over night. The fear of war in Europe. Instability. Energy crises. Higher cost of living. Inflation. This war has a huge impact on all of us, but most of all for the people of Ukraine who has to go through the impact this war has on their lives and freedom.
Photo 3: Samsung SM-A530F, f/1.7, 1/20 sec, ISO 640During the years with Covid-19 restrictions with a long periode of not only closed borders, but also closed museums, it was a relief when everything opened up. I was so 'hungry' in my need for art exhibitions that I went to Copenhagen, Denmark for three days in June. During these three days I actually managed to visit 4 art exhibitions and 2 art museums. The photo is from Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota's exhibition 'Multiple Realities'.
Photo 4: Nikon D610, f.5, 1/125 sec, ISO 200Summer and early autumn means time to hike and enjoy the outdoors. In September I finally managed to go to Flores, Azores to do the hike a long the west coast. The trip was planned and booked in January 2020, but was cancelled in March, shortly after lock down. But together with 3 friends I have managed to complete the planned visit this year. I am so glad we did not change our mind. It was worth waiting for. The beauty of this remote island is amazing.
Photo 5: Samsung SM-A530F, f/1.7, 1/50 sec, ISO 160The year 2022 ends at the same place where the year startet- Aalborg, Denmark. I have been back in this city several times during autumn. For the last time I am standing looking at the plants at my moms place.She died on September 30th, 89 years old. She was not ill and she still could take care of herself. She died in a traffic accident. To loose her this way is hard to describe. Together with sisters and brother I was here at her place to remove everything that had belonged to her. 2022 is soon coming to an end. We can only wait to see what 2023 has in store for all of us.

I know the framing is not so good. It was a rainy day I passed the door and took the shot in a hurry. I have passed it recently and now it has been re-painted..
