Photo contest: post processing #17. Countryside pictures

Hello friends, I'm getting down to the last minute task for the seventeenth stage of the competition. I was even going to skip it altogether - during my illness even short posts with previously prepared pictures took too much effort. And here the processing, searching for interesting variants, comparing methods - and all that with a high temperature and a sore head... Perhaps a glass of compote and a nap would be better? But by the evening of today I was feeling noticeably better, so I decided to experiment a bit with photography.

Привет, друзья! К выполнению задания семнадцатого этапа конкурса я приступаю в последний момент. Я даже собиралась совсем его пропустить - во время болезни даже короткие посты с подготовленными ранее фотографиями отнимали слишком много сил. А здесь обработка, поиск интересных вариантов, сравнение методов - и всё это с высокой температурой и больной головой… Может быть, лучше стакан компота и спать? Но к вечеру сегодняшнего дня мне стало заметно лучше, и решила немного поэкспериментировать с фотографиями.

This is a photo I took during a trip to a friend's dacha in the summer. It's a story about life in the countryside in one shot. True, it's a story unlikely to be understood by those whose childhood was spent in modern, comfortable conditions - those who didn't carry water for irrigation in buckets, weed beds and then try to wash their hands with cold water in such a hand-washing basin. However, the story is a bit sly. The house has hot water and a bath, and water for irrigation is obtained by a pump. But neither the pump nor the tub are in the picture.

Эту фотографию я сделала летом во время поездки на дачу к друзьям. Это рассказ о дачной жизни в одном кадре. Правда, этот рассказ вряд ли будет понятен тем, чьё детство прошло в современных комфортабельных условиях - тем, кто не носил воду для полива в вёдрах, не пропалывал грядки и не пытался потом отмыть руки холодной водой в таком рукомойнике. Правда, этот рассказ получился немного лукавым. В доме есть и горячая вода, и ванна, а вода для полива добывается с помощью насоса. Но ни насос, ни ванна в кадр не попали.

The processing I did was quite simple. First, I converted the photo to black and white. Then I added the illusion of an old photo with toning and selective correction. After that, I went back to the colour version and added the effect of imitating a film photograph. The final variation is the work of the Indian Summer filter from the Nik Collection filters.

Обработку я сделала достаточно простую. Сначала я перевела фотографию в чёрно-белый режим. Затем добавила иллюзию старой фотографии с помощью тонирования и выборочной коррекции. После этого я снова вернулась к цветному варианту и добавила эффект имитации пленочной фотографии. Завершающий вариант - работа фильтра индейское лето из фильтров Nik Collection.
