Evening Walk in the Summer Garden

This morning I got dressed warmly so that no draughts could reach my virally weakened body and went outside for a walk in the fresh spring air. The street greeted with a light spring snow and a grey spring sky. "Well!" - I decided. "It's time to sort through the rest of the winter photos. What's in my trunk?"

And in the trunk I had an evening, almost night walk in the Summer Garden. The time was late. I thought the gates of the garden had long since closed, and I was very surprised to see that they hadn't. There were hardly any other visitors - indeed, it was not summer! A stroll along the deserted paths of the Summer Garden was a rare pleasure, usually available only to gardeners. The garden's paths would have been plunged into darkness had the snow not reflected the glow of the surrounding lanterns.

Сегодня утром оделась потеплее, чтобы никакой сквозняк не добрался до ослабленного вирусами организма, и вышла на улицу подышать свежим весенним воздухом. Улица порадовала лёгким весенним снегом и серым весенним небом. “Ну что ж!” - решила я. “Раз так, самое время разобрать оставшиеся зимние фотографии. Что там у меня в закромах?”

А в закромах у меня вечерняя, почти ночная прогулка в Летнем саду. Время было позднее. Я думала, что ворота сада давно закрылись, и очень удивилась, увидев, что это не так. Других посетителей почти не было - действительно, не лето же! Прогуляться по пустынным дорожкам Летнего сада удовольствие редкое, обычно доступное только садовникам. Дорожки сада были бы погружены во тьму, если бы снег не отражал сияние окрестных фонарей.
