A walk near the old manor house

The bright blue sky is the perfect backdrop for the ornamentation of power lines and the lace of branches. Spring is a time of contrasts. In summer, the landscape will be more colourful, but shades of green will soften the contrast.

The busy thoroughfare is built on the site of the old Peterhof road. Several old palaces and summer houses are hidden among the mid-twentieth-century buildings. The modest three-storey building is the manor of Princess Catherine Dashkova, a participant in the palace coup that brought Catherine II to the Russian throne.

Оживленная транспортная магистраль застроена проложена на месте старой Петергофской дороги. Среди зданий середины XX века прячется несколько старых дворцов и дач. Скромное трёхэтажное здание - усадьба княгини Екатерины Дашковой, участницы дворцового переворота, в результате которого на российский престол взошла Екатерина II.

The manor house houses several organisations. The main entrance and front halls are the district registry office. The administrative office is in the left wing. On the right is a small museum dedicated to the history of the manor and the surrounding area.

В усадьбе расположены несколько организаций. Главный вход и парадные залы - это районный ЗАГС. В левом крыле административный офис. В правом небольшой музей, посвящённый истории усадьбы и прилегающего района.

There is a monument near the gatehouse of one of the factories that tells about the events of the Great Patriotic War. Kobona, Osinovets... these names are memorable to any Leningrad citizen.

Около проходной одного из заводов установлен памятник, рассказывающий о событиях Великой Отечественной войны. Кобона, Осиновец… эти названия памятны любому ленинградцу.
