A snowy evening in Salt Lane

The weather outside the window remains familiar, snowy and rainy. The last days of March feel like an unplanned excursion into late autumn. In the morning, I wonder at the weather forecast: what time would be better to go for a short walk? Is there any chance of catching some sunshine and catching a dose of vitamin D? Will I be able to avoid the invigorating shower and refreshing gusts of wind?

At home, on the other hand, I continue to tidy up my winter photos. Here, for example, is an evening stroll in Salt Lane. Clear snow, bright lanterns, the warm glow of shop windows in the street perspective. An almost postcard-like landscape. The wind is not in the picture, and the snowfall - like today, turning to rain - can only be seen in one photo.

Погода за окном остаётся привычной, снежно-дождливой. В последние дни марта такие дни воспринимаются как незапланированная экскурсия в позднюю осень. Утром я гадаю по прогнозу погоды: в какое время лучше выйти на небольшую прогулку? Есть ли шанс застать несколько солнечных лучей и поймать порцию витамина D? Удастся ли избежать бодрящего душа и освежающих порывов ветра?

Дома же я продолжаю наводить порядок в зимних фотографиях. Вот, например, вечерняя прогулка в Соляном переулке. Чистый снег, яркие фонари, тёплый свет витрин в перспективе улицы. Почти открыточный пейзаж. Ветер на фотографии не попал, а снегопад - как и сегодня, переходящий в дождь - можно заметить только на одном снимке.
