Public transport in Skopje

Today I wanted to share with you our public transportation here in Skopje. If you are traveling in Macedonia then this would benefit you greatly.

Skopje is a decently big city with population of around 500 - 600000, being this big it would benefit a metro station but we still don't have one. Best and only in city public transportation here are buses. There were only regular 1 story buses until recently that we bought some double deckers.

The situation in the bus is usually good, but sometimes these buses aren't really cleaned for a while and with them being on a popular line it can get a bit crowded. You just need to find somewhere to hold if there are no avaliable seats and you should be good.

Even when they are on a popular line, they can sometimes (very rarely) not come for hours... yes hours. For this reason we here use some apps that track exactly when will the bus come, but they are usually on 5 to 20 minutes from eachother.
