Tropical country, kind people, happy citizenry, family-oriented, tight-knit families
I sometimes watch foreigners thinking about our country and the difference about any other people of the world, they would always say that the people is different in the positive side. They would say that people in my country are kind, courteous, happy, hospitable, welcoming, and all that positivity. It is true and I can attribute it to one factor as well, the weather.
The bright and cheery skies plays a vital role in people's brains because time and time again it has been proven that people that lives under grey skies gets depressed and if you would look at the opposite side, people who lives under the bright sun makes them happy and cheery. For us living in my country is benefiting a great deal for this because even though life is hard, we have lots of things that further makes our lives nicer because we have our tight-knit families that makes us felt loved, our own culture the we are proud to show to the world, and most of us are easily contented for what we have.
God looks after this country otherwise, it could have been "under" already a long time ago considering that we do not have much like oil and all that riches, but what we have are manpower and population that is ready to support the next generation again and again.
The money coming from the overseas workers are one big factor that is supporting the economy which is why we call these OFW's "Unsung Heroes' because they are the ones that keeps our economy afloat by sending dollars that they earned back to their lovedones here from working abroad. They have to do it because there aren't much opportunities here and they can never raise a family if they will just work here where the salary is way more cheaper compared to working overseas.
I just hope that soon, there will be more opportunities to make money from here than going abroad for work because sometimes it makes the parents get estranged from their children that the want to build a good future because the extended time of being far away definitely cracks the bond between a parent and a child especially of the parent left the child while it was still now aware until it is too late because it will be hard to connect emotional connections if it was not established first in those crucial years when the child/children are is still very young.
Well, I can say that because it happened to us the children of my father, my father went away went we were still very young and only coming home every two years from working abroad. He will just stay for about couple of weeks considering that he doesn't take us out to eat when he does go home, not much bonding happened until it gets annoying already when he gets to come home for both of us because estrangement already happened due to being so many years of being apart and not spending quality time together.
That phenomena had happened to many families if overseas workers and for some families, it created a bad family ties because the sacrifice of leaving the family for a long period of time is not good for the reason I mentioned especially in the past where the only form of communication is writing letters where calling via telephone is only reserved for emergency cases only.

It's crazy to think about all the places people live and have migrated to. I just saw this video and how there are 2,500 people living there and even people from Thailand moved there. They even have a Circle K gas station which is nuts.

There's no place like home and even if I am able to move elsewhere, I still choose where I was born simply because I want to live near the people that cares and knows me rathe than being a foreigner and trying to fit-in and coping in a country that has many differences from the weather to the people that I have to deal with for the rest of my life, it is because my place is far more better despite some economic challenges, what is important is to be loved in my what I call my own home. 😀👍
