Ezekiel 18: 25-32
- How do you react to the question of whether you are a "good person"?
- What areas could you become and live in?
When Juan, who ran the largest brothel in London, was imprisoned, he believed and wrongly claimed: But I'm a good guy. In prison, he decided to attend the Bible study to get cake and coffee, but was struck by the joy the other prisoners seemed to have. He started crying during the first song, and then he received a Bible. The reading of the prophet Ezekiel changed him, by shaking him "like lightning." He read: «And turning away the wicked from his wickedness that he did, and doing according to law and justice, he will make his soul live. […] He will not die ”(18: 27-28). The Word of God shocked him, and he realized that he was not a good guy, but he was evil and he needed to change. While praying with the pastor, he said, "I found Jesus Christ and He changed me."
These words of Ezekiel were spoken to the people of God when he was exiled. Although they had drifted away from the Lord, He longed for them to be delivered from their offenses and to become "a new heart and a new spirit" (v. 31). Those words helped John convert and live (v. 32), as he followed Jesus, the One who calls sinners to repent (Luke 5:32).
May we respond to the Spirit's work of conviction of sin so that we too may enjoy forgiveness and freedom.
GOD BLESS YOU

Ezequiel 18:25-32
[…] no morirá» (18:27-28).
